Her interest in computer technology led her to the Cisco Network Academy during high school, where she immersed herself in the world of computer networking and information security. Recognizing her talent and dedication, Deirra secured an internship with the Baltimore City Public School District during her senior year, laying the foundation for her future career.

Over the past decade, Deirra has established herself as a versatile and skilled Network Engineer, making significant contributions across diverse sectors, including K-12 education, govtech, healthcare, and finance. Her expertise encompasses network lifecycle refreshments, network segmentation, and security solution implementations with a focus on data center networking and network security Driven by her ambition to become a Network Security Architect, Deirra has earned her CCNA certification and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business and IT Management at Western Governors University to further enhance her skills and knowledge.
